About This Program

Station Monitor (a service of Leander Systems LLC) sends SMS text alerts for environmental and equipment monitoring — for example, temperature thresholds, battery levels, or sensor/alarm state changes at a site you monitor. These are account alert notifications only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How You Opt In

You add your own mobile number through your authenticated Station Monitor account, under Notifications → Add Channel → SMS. To turn text alerts on for that number, you affirmatively check a consent box confirming you want to receive them — the box is never pre-checked.

Consent is optional. It is never required in order to create an account, to use the service, or to save a phone number. A number saved without consent stays inactive and receives no text messages unless and until you consent. Consent is recorded per number — we record who consented, for which number, and when — so changing the destination number requires consenting again for the new number.

Message Types & Frequency

Messages are limited to alerts tied to real equipment or sensor events at your monitored site(s). Message frequency varies based on alarm activity and is typically fewer than 10 messages per month per number.

Message and data rates may apply. Carrier fees are your responsibility.

Opt-Out & Help

Reply STOP to any Station Monitor text message at any time to opt out of SMS alerts; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at sleander1@gmail.com. You can also remove your SMS channel directly from your account's Notifications settings at any time, without needing to text STOP.

Privacy Policy

What we collect. The mobile phone number you provide for SMS alerts, and the account/site telemetry needed to determine when to alert you.

How we use it. Solely to deliver the alerts you configured. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Third-party processing. Text messages are transmitted through our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely as a technical delivery mechanism; Twilio does not use your number for its own marketing.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on alarm activity and is typically fewer than 10 messages per month per number.

Message and data rates may apply. Carrier fees are your responsibility.

Data retention. Your number is stored encrypted at rest for as long as the SMS channel remains configured on your account. Deleting the channel stops future use of the number for alerts.

Terms of Service

Station Monitor is a monitoring service provided by Leander Systems LLC. The SMS notification feature is offered at your discretion as a supplement to, not a replacement for, direct monitoring of your equipment or site. Leander Systems LLC is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier networks or other factors outside our control.
